Buying a Musical Instrument
Are you thinking about buying a second-hand musical instrument? If so, follow the steps below to check that the person you are buying from is the instrument's legitimate owner.
Firstly, ask the seller whether the instrument is registered with MusicTag.

If it is registered with MusicTag:

If it isn't registered with MusicTag:
Step 1: Perform an InstrumentCheck
Step 2: Check the instrument

- If you find any anomalies during any of the checks above, please contact us as the seller may be trying to sell stolen goods.
Finally, if you do buy your new instrument, don't forget to register the instrument in your name. Registering yourself as the new legitimate owner of the instrument will help you to protect it from loss and theft in future.
You will receive your own registration certificate and tag sticker and your details will be added to our instrument register, where future buyers can check that the instrument is legitimate.
